Today is Yom Hashoah and our students were fortunate enough to participate in the Har V'Gai school assembly. They read a poem in both Hebrew and English. After the tekes (assembly) we listened to a a lady speak about her parents' Holocaust survival story. The students were mesmerized by her fathers story. After that, we toured a memorial for the sight of the 1997 helicopter disaster. The helicopters were coming from Lebanon with their lights off and crashed mid-air. It killed all 73 military personnel that were on board.

The Calgary kids are now back with their billets for the evening.
