Saturday/Sunday April 22/23

Yesterday was a pretty quiet day here. Most of the students went on family visits in the morning/afternoon. After they returned, we toured around Neve Tzedek. Neve Tzedek was the first Jewish settlement in Tel-Aviv. Of course, we had to stop for some ice cream!

Today we had an early start but the students didn't mind because we headed up north to visit our pen pals. The Israeli students eagerly awaited us at the bus stop in Har V'Gai and then the joyous reunion began. We first toured around Kibbutz Dafna (the Kibbutz that the school is on) and stopped by the cow shed. They have over 300 cows, including three that were born this morning. After lunch, we did some Zumba dancing with one the girls from the Kibbutz. After that we returned to the school for dismissal.
